Treatment Options - RFA Therapy
Additional Treatment
According to published clinical trials, patients require 2-3 procedures to achieve a complete remission of Barrett's esophagus. Each patient may be different, according to the length and severity of the Barrett’s esophagus.
After your initial RFA treatment, your doctor may schedule a follow-up appointment within 2-3 months to evaluate your response to initial therapy. At that time, he may perform an upper endoscopy exam to determine if any Barrett’s tissue remains, and determine if additional therapy is needed.
